I was only going to do one post with this dress but when we took some photos for my sewing post, we just ended up taking so many lovely pictures that I wanted to share some more with you guys. I am new to this whole modelling thing and there have been so many photos that we have taken that literally just look like crap and so when we took these photos and almost all of them were great, I was just so proud of Chris and I.
I made this dress myself and I am so excited to be wearing this wonderful nautical pattern. I have had this fabric sitting around for a while and I was just so scared to use it since I didn’t want to screw it up. I will admit, this dress isn’t as perfect as I would like, but considering I am extremely new to sewing dresses, I am pretty proud.
Seeing these photos and seeing how far I have come with my style makes me feel so excited. I remember being a nerdy school girl with barely any style or confidence and only dreaming of being a vintage lady. The 50s have always been an era that has caught my attention and even though I love the modern day, I am so lucky to be able to mix them both together.
I also just wanted to take a few moment to thank everyone who has followed my blog. I started this blog because I just love all things beauty include makeup, fashion, sewing, vintage, hair and basically just everything in similar categories. I have always read blogs and watched Youtube and just dreamed of being something similar to that. Although I am just at the beginning of my journey in this amazing community, I am so grateful for what I have achieved already.
I hope you guys enjoyed this post as much as I did. I really enjoy taking photos and the whole process from the hair and makeup, to learning poses, all the way to learning how to edit and fix the lighting. I can’t wait to learn more and share the journey with you guys.
